The Perfect Sting

Bruce and Patrick, father and son, find a luxury motor yacht adrift off Maui's west coast. Aboard, they find three dead men, a hoard of drugs, cash, and guns. Believing the opportunity is too good to pass up, they take the money and guns and only report the dead men and drugs. They file a salvage lien on the boat. All too soon, they discover the wages of sin are bigger than the rewards. They have to evade investigations by the Coast Guard, FBI, and Police. The suspense mounts as the drug cartel guess who stole their property and exact punitive measures to regain it. If they surrender their ill-gotten gains to the police, they face forfeit of their salvors' lien on the boat and penalties for theft and interfering in a criminal investigation. The FBI has spies in the cartel, and the cartel has spies in the police. Nothing is secret. The pressure is on to find a solution before the drug cartel extracts its pound of flesh.
