This book takes the reader on the journey along a beach in Elcho Island, in quiet company of three dingos.
Elcho Island situated on the northern coastline of Australia, five hundred and fifty kilometres east of Darwin, a two hour flight east. These images were captured on the second day of my ten day visit
to the island. Galiwinku is the indigenous name. The beach is situated 5km west of the main township, also named Galiwinku.
We visited the Elder Richard to signal our time on the island. He granted permission to walk the beach freely.
The visual stimuli was overwhelming and it was imperative that it was captured. From the colour and the texture of the sand, to the reflections, the developing storm on the horizon and the presence of the three dingos playing in the shallows and the changing colours of the rocks.
