Garden poetry with photographs: Gardening is writing poetry in the earth.Archie’s gardening is a work of love, something he expresses both in the earth, in a few photographs, and in many poems.Archie’s gardening begins in one of the cruelest climates for plant life in the northern hemisphere, northern Alberta, where the growing season can be cut short by frost and snow before the end of the short, late summer.Fortunately, most of the next 60 years of his gardening work, so far, is much less of a struggle. Archie continues his planting, watering, weeding, pruning, and caring in in a far more moderate climate, on the Pacific Coast of Canada.
