The Enemy Within

Surgeon Mathew Fletcher continues his search for the Royalist killers of his beloved Elizabeth Moor, her Father and Mathew’s brother, Charles. To track down the murderers, Mathew has had to join the Royalist Army and is acting as a spy in return for help from Major Robert Overton.After his humiliating failure to capture Hull, King Charles takes his army south towards the heart of the English Midlands. Mathew must follow the King to find the murderers. En-route, Mathew’s new friends, pick up an unexpected passenger, who brings discord to Mathew’s group.The King raises his standard at Nottingham, declaring civil war, not only dividing the country, but families and friends as they take sides for King or Parliament.But, does Mathew face a civil war of his own amongst his new friends, as the passenger makes her presence felt?Can a turncoat become a new friend and ally, as Mathew searches for Elizabeth’s murderers?Caught in between a warring king and his Parliament, can life get any more complicated for Mathew?
