When six strangers meet inside a waiting room in the afterlife, they rapidly discover that they must solve their own murders, reconcile their own deaths with loved ones and rectify their imperfections. Once they have solved their own deaths, they are then provided with an opportunity to occupy and borrow a human body in order to correct things that they have done wrong to people during their lifetime as the Bureau of Death allows them to temporarily return to a human form to make some amends so that their souls can rest in peace.
