Travels in a Lifetime

John Stuttard’s experience of travel in the 50 years (1964 to 2014) was typical of many of his generation. Few countries and geographical areas were too dangerous or out of bounds. Travel was, relatively, much safer than it seems to be 50 years later when this book was written. The accounts of his foreign journeys provide a picture of the environment in which adventurous travel in the second half of the 20th Century could take place.
