It’s early 1963 in a north of England town. A new pop group called The Beatles are creating a sensation. They have embarked on their U.K. winter tour and are due to play at the town’s dance hall. Stuart is a naive teenager. He starts a job as a trainee projectionist at the local cinema. Before long he encounters eccentric colleagues with dark secrets to share. Amongst them are a crooked cinema manager and a paedophile projectionist. Both fall foul of the law. When Stuart meets Suzie, a teenage usherette, his coming of age begins. They are surprised when a clairvoyant cleaner predicts their future with uncanny accuracy. The enlightened teenagers fulfil a final prophecy when they come face to face with The Beatles.
