My father was a brilliant storyteller. It seemed to my siblings and I that he made the stories up as he was telling them. If one of us was out of lineand misbehaved in some way he would make up a story precisely relating to the mischief involved. Most of the time they seemed to put us on thestraight and narrow. Our parents were busy farmers whose quality time with us was in the evenings talking about the daily events and the recital of numerous bedtime stories that we could not get enough of. We felt loved and appreciated. I hope you enjoy the stories as much as we did.Have you read a good fairy tale lately?‘In this magical collection of traditional short stories, author Stefka Harp proves you’re never too old to return to 'Once upon a time’ and the world of fables, folk tales, myth and legend. But Harp does more than just spin a good yarn. Each of the tales in this book contains a profound message or lesson which will stay with you long after you’ve read the final page.Suitable for children and adults, this delightful volume will be cherished by the whole family.‘Editorial review by Alison Leader
