Connor Cohen, a wealthy Arkansas State Senator, made a bad choice of a marriage partner if he wanted love but a perfect selection to help him become governor or even president one day. That is, until his wife dies and he considers himself partly responsible. He does what he must do to save his reputation. But then he meets Abby, a perfect marriage partner for love. Only Abby is filled with many self-doubts about meeting Connor’s social and political obligations, especially after others remind her of all the ways she’s unable to compete with the ex-wife.
