So, grabbing her fake ID and gun and donning her old Fedora from her show, Polly & Jake PI, she throws herself into the gritty, real world of private investigation in Los Angeles, rejoining her co-star, Michael Barlowe (a real, private detective), on whom the series they starred in was based. Suddenly, Kam is on his case, chasing not only the great whatzit, a lying, double-dealing client, a Mysterious Chinese Man, a three-legged cat, a legendary Chinese fortune, but also, a movie role written by her ex-husband, that, if she could just get an audition for, might relaunch her deader-than-dead career.
