The Globe

Abigail Newt Newton is a twenty-eight-year-old scientist with her own research laboratory who moves methodically through life. After developing artificial hemoglobin in her lab, she decides to take a much-needed vacation to her family’s secluded cabin in Washington. But a discovery on the beach turns her world upside down.

When she stumbles upon a simple Japanese fishing float along the shore, she quickly discovers that imprisoned inside the pale-green glass globe are a tiny man and his unconscious baby. Terrified at first, she devises a way to communicate with him, and becomes concerned with his plight. Vowing to help him in any way she can, she assembles a misfit team of helpers who include computer geeks, wounded warriors, and even a drag queen.

As romance blossoms between Abigail and the man, they soon discover the real secret behind his captivity. But to save the man and his daughter, Abigail and her team must travel to a heavily fortified tropical island to battle an evil mastermind and his minions before the man and his daughter are both killed.
