He was subject to countless interrogations, arrests and even attacks. In this 5th edition, he has added an epilogue concerning his recent work with the Bedouins in Al Khan al-Ahmar. He and other activists stepped in front of a bulldozer to prevent it from destroying the village. Romano was arrested, imprisoned, prosecuted and eventually deported from Israel, never to return.
