U.S. Army Installations - World War II: A Research Reference: Fifth Service Command

A unique distillation of salient facts surrounding each Army Ground Force, Army Air Force, Army Service Force, and POW camp within the Army’s World War II 5th Service Command which served the states of Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia. Included within are installations descriptions, period photography and current photos taken in the field, details of local library research, internet facts, and personal interviews. The Appendices are a compilation of tables identifying every unit that served at each of the Army’s stations during the war period based on data from the office of the Adjutant General. Details on the POW camps and their populations was derived from the office of the Provost Marshal General.This is the first of 10 books in the series which includes the other 8 Service Command regions and the Military District of Washington.
