I am princess Adara, the granddaughter of the immortal Little Mermaid. My parents were killed the day I was born, by the evil Sea Hag. I was left an orphan and raised on land until my thirteenth birthday, when I became a mermaid. Now, five years later I must return to my old life as Pearl Thorsen, to sail with the world’s most promising students in oceanographic studies. With their help, I must create a new relationship between man and the merfolk. Together both races must forge a future where the sloth and greed of pollution has no place on the land or in the sea. In the first installment of the series, Killer Lamprey From The Trash Triangle, nuclear fallout has been released into the ocean after a tsunami disaster in Japan. It has infected the North Pacific Gyre and turned the massive floating continent of garbage into a breeding ground for gigantic killer sea creatures commanded by the old evil Sea Hag. When they begin attacking ships, Pearl and her friends must battle these killers of the deep, if they want to stay out of Davy Jones locker. With a little help from Pearl’s mermaid persona, Princess Adara they may have a whale of a tale to tell if they don’t get caught between these devils and the deep blue sea.
