There are other worlds, other natures of existence, and other gods. Sometimes a door between this world and another opens. In the remote, old, Irish, Roman Catholic settlement of Ennis, British Columbia, Ron Maguire is on the cusp of graduating high school and thus, the cusp of manhood. He is struggling with his own nature and ability to love, who to love, and how to love. Left on her doorstep as an infant, Ron was raised by Mab, a witch practitioner of the ancient Celtic religion. Talk about feeling like an outsider. What direction will Ron’s life take when, on a camping trip high in the Rockies outside Ennis, a hidden door opens, and Ron finds himself center stage in an ancient battle between darkness and light, between a legion of demonic forces and the legend of the Purple Wing, between loneliness and new-found love.
