Not So Long Ago is a collection of lyrics from 1976 to 2014 by Marc Gregory, who studied music at UCLA and Indiana University. His artistic impulses remained straddled on the fence between popular and more serious forms of expression, until they turned, for the most part, to classical composition. The lyrics in this volume were written along the way and include a wide variety of styles, from light-hearted to serious, gentle to more aggressive. Gregory has also remained actively engaged in issues of social and economic justice, concerns that are reflected in some of the work presented here.
