In this third book of the trilogy, Mickie is now 15 and he has developed the extraordinary powers of his race, the Pfafth. In his mind he has the memories of the life of Markel, the leader of the Pfath at the height of their powers when they ruled over 40 galaxies and when they were defeated and escaped into hiding out of time and out of space a million years ago. He must draw on all his powers and the help of his allies, some beautiful, some strange and some terrifying to seek out the Pfafth and protect them against their ancient enemy, the Sillaron who are determined to complete the destruction of their one-time rulers.
