Alois Schill, the youngest of thirteen children, was studying to become a priest. After completing his studies (but not as a priest) he left Germany in 1926 for Mexico. After being in his new country for over eight years, he wanted to settle down and raise a family. Since he had little prospect of meeting a German girl in Mexico, he laid out a plan for finding a wife. With help from his sister in Germany, he finds the girl he wants to marry. Ursula Erath sails across the ocean to marry Alois while her ship is still in a Mexican port. This is an account of two lives coming together in a faraway country, raising a family, and living out their lives filled with challenges, adventures, love and dreams.
