Mary Alice, an 87 year old, mother of nine children, is recovering from a stroke and is in the care of her 7th child, Reba. Mary Alice is the 4th child born of 11 children, and her siblings, have been notorious about keeping their family secrets. As a result, their children know very little about their family history. Mary is the last living sibling that can reveal why they were so secretive. Reba, being the primary caretaker, has an opportunity to spend quality time with her mother, and persuades her to share the ‘sugar-free version’ of their family history and Mary Alice unlocks the door and let all the skeletons free.
