My name is Collin Frost. I’m a fairly unpopular seventeen-year-old high school student. This is my story … one that chronicles how my already dredge of a life went from miserable to totally and irreversibly jacked. I guess I should start at the beginning … right before we were shanghaied-up into that alien spaceship. It all started on the way back from the game. I’m the kicker. We lost. It was because of me. Big surprise. But everything started to really go south when the school bus pulled up at another railroad crossing in just one more hicksville small town in rural Texas. At first, I didn’t see what the bus driver, the cheerleaders, or my teammates were gawking at. And there it was, hovering high up in the sky … a goliath-sized space-ship. I watched as the 6:15 Amtrak commuter train was unceremoniously sucked-up into the spaceship’s gaping underbelly aperture. You guessed it, we were abducted. Right into the rank belly of what we later found out was called a sim rover collector ship. Do we survive the ordeal? Most definitely. In fact, our little group of alien abduction survivors go on to kick some major alien ass. At least for a while … But I’m getting ahead of myself here. Just know, sometimes … not often, but sometimes … the skinny kid, possessing no apparent talent, or aptitude for anything useful, does, in fact, rise to the occasion. Hey, maybe he even gets the girl, though the jury’s still out on that one. Reviews:

Education integrity wins over the bully Mark Wayne McGinnis is a gifted writer. No sooner had I finished the book I immediately went looking for book number two at two AM. When I discovered that book number two had not yet been written I looked for any other book that Mark has written. Seems as though I have read most of what is available on Amazon. I saw that he wrote the Scrapyard Ship series, Star Watch, Ship Wrecked stranded on an Alien Planet, and Galaxy Man. I have a lot of reading to do! In the meantime, I’m waiting for the sequel to Lone Star Renegades.- Cecil Leonard

Loved Lone Star Renegades I so enjoyed the characters and the plot was interesting, . Lots of action and all around the characters made it fast and fun. MWM has written a fun entertaining teen sci-fi adventure action kindle book.- Love Reading

Great teen adventure science fiction story! This is the story of young adults who stepped up and grew up real fast. They were placed in a precarious situation and excelled. Sometimes it is the spirit of the human spirit that keeps us going and fighting for what is right.- Wanda

Excellent well-written teen scifi action space opera adventure book This book, then first I hope in the series, takes a Texas high school football team and puts them in space. Can one young man, the kicker, go from zero to hero? Can Tinkerbell really fly? The answers are in the book.- Mickey W. Johnson

Lone Star Renegades / Waiting for a series Great teen thrill suspense syfy book, would love for a series to come out of this. Scrapyard ship and star watch are already great, add this series to the mix and you could add a mark to one of the greats. Five stars for pure ingenuity and concept. I would definitely recommend along with the other books, such as Scrapyard Ship, Star Watch, Ship Wrecked, Galaxy Man, and Boy Gone.- lion_heart

Really Really Good Coming of Age Story. This is well written and worth your time to read. Well-developed characters with plenty of fast suspenseful action sy fy. I enjoyed the book and am anxiously awaiting the next one in the series.- KC

Thoroughly enjoyable teen adventure space opera I loved the characterizations. I felt I had met versions of almost every character in real life. Lone Star Renegades. It was so well-realized, just like his first book, Scrapyard Ship. I wouldn’t change a thing.- LJ
