Amarna Exodus

Amarna Exodus is the little known story of Akhenaten, the world’s first monotheist. His birth stirred controversy among the old establishment. The new religious upheaval he caused led him to abdicate his throne and exile with loyal followers into the land of Sinai and later Palestine. Did the Red Sea part or did he lead all his loyal followers across a narrow, shallow inlet of the sea at low tide? Did he transform his staff into a serpent to prove that he was the legitimate heir to the throne or was it simply a brass cobra on the tip of his royal scepter?
