A Gristly Tail

This small poetic book tells the story of Bumpass, quite possibly the Best Cat in the Whole Universe (at least that part of it west of the Lampasas River), from his adoption and kittenhood through adulthood, aging, illness, and beyond.

Inspired by the lovable feline, the San Francisco based artist-author created a suite of eight images and accompanying text portraying the cycle of life, all centering around a garden in the Very Biggest Jungle in the Entire Back Yard.

It is a story for animal lovers, including adults who retain a childhood sense of wonder, and the very special children who face real-world lessons while caring for beloved pets.
