Book Three of the Journey in the Mind of a Poet series represents the author’s first definitive step away from the Christianity of his youth and his first real questions: Do humans become deities? Does God grant all of us an equal right in our search for God?; Is there only one right way that God shows approval? This book reveals Prewit’s first conscious seeking for a new spiritual identity - not neatly done, perhaps, but on with an eventual resultant peace. Up to that point, faith had felt like chasing rainbows, ever trying to re-explain the same Christianity that had kept failing him and to conquer his fear that abandoning it would surely bring. Stepping away from this faith is one of the most rewarding steps he has ever taken.
