In his first book, Half Way From Kinderlou, he shared memories of his happy childhood in Valdosta, Georgia, during the period 1934 - 1945. Despite the prevailing social order, dictated by racial segregation, adults of both races sought ways to assuage the harshness of segregation for a fast moving self-confident and gifted colored child. In his second book, Forks in the Road, he shares the delights and consequences of decisions he made during 20 years of active military duty in the U.S. Air Force. Now in his third book, I Wish You Had Been There, he offers another collection of stories of a continued exciting life.
