The Scarlet Thread is both an inspirational devotion book and a guided Bible study.

The Scarlet Thread takes a systematic look into the books of the Old Testament to verify that each one, in some way, has a part in that overall message. It examines verses and passages that directly refer to the Anointed One who will come and to those that in some way bring to mind an image of Jesus, the Messiah.
The Scarlet Thread contains nine chapters. The verses and passages included in the study are grouped together based on the similarities of subject. The difference between the two is in the depth of study that the group desires.
