Blind Reading: Reading Material for the Hunting Blind

Blind Reading Catch your eye did it? How many hours have you sat in a hunting blind, or boat, and wished you had brought something to take your mind away from being uncomfortable? Sonny uses Blind Reading as that comforting tool and as a guide to inform the sportsman of basic information, in short story form, about the outdoors. He draws from 75 life years of experiences in the South Florida Everglades, and Central and North Georgia as he discusses simple explanations about hunting and guns. He has chosen stories that illustrate the point of his lessons. Like most storytellers, he has added tales here and there that are only life experiences that are unique to him. 25 years ago his son Stephen asked that he write about his turkey hunting experiences. Sonny decided to take a class on creative writing and got side tracked, publishing a successful novel. The experience greatly enhanced his ability to capture the reader’s attention. Originally Blind Reading was going to be all about turkey hunting, his favorite game, but he soon realized it needed to encompass the entire outdoors. His stories range in time from his childhood in early Miami to his retirement in the Georgia Mountains and in distance, from the Florida Keys to Northern Greenland.
