If our experiences, both positive and negative, are constantly teaching us about life, Desi Williamson must have accumulated a couple of PhD’s by now. He survived the mean streets of St. Louis and a troubled childhood but went on to earn a football scholarship to college. He then fell into his life’s passion, both figuratively and literally. After a successful career in sales and marketing and a Hall-of-Fame career in professional speaking, Williamson has a serious fall that caused him to suffer a broken neck in two places. Temporarily paralyzed, Williamson endured fourteen hours of surgery, three months in the hospital, a dozen bolts and screws in his spine, and a metal and fiberglass halo screwed into his skull before recovering. Along this path to recovery he found a new perspective in life. He shares his profound new way of approaching life in Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way.
