Moniek Ebner and his family were among the tens of thousands of Jews captured and sent to live in the ghetto of Bochnia after the Nazis invaded Poland. When he was thirteen, Nazi soldiers took him and other Jews they found on the streets to the concentration camps. He never saw his family again. Ebner survived and escaped, making his way to America. He changed his name to Murray Ebner and became a successful businessman. He never forgot his mother, father, and brothers, and he never completely gave up hope that they may have survived. Although he promised himself that he would never return to Poland, he did so in 2000, accompanied by his wife and children. This is the story of his journey.
