Grand Finale A murder in the Badlands
Joan Hall
Reverend Harley Daniels has taken over the callings as the pastor of his new church. One duty is to visit a prisoner on death row in Kentucky State Penitentiary. There he meets and ministers to Woodrow Pierce, a young, resentful, beaten-down man. The Reverend is convinced that the prisoner is innocent of the crimes of rape and murder for which he was convicted. He feels compelled to prove his innocence and seek his freedom. The preacher's faith is tested to his limit when he ventures into an underworld of strip clubs, drugs and murder in the Badlands of West Virginia. He meets a stripper, Shapely Shaw, who feels guilty about her testimony at Woodrow's trial, next he encounters Max Holmes, a photojournalist, who is looking for a story. The two agree to aid the preacher in his quest. The unlikely trio risk their lives in an attempt to catch the real killer and free Woodrow Pierce.
