Life is complicated! Ever since she could remember, Alexandria dreamed of owning a lighthouse where she could paint all day with the ocean as her backdrop. Eleven years and one federal defunct lighthouse auction later and even she could hardly believe it. She was now the owner of a dilapidated lighthouse on a tiny island off the coast of Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. When she has reception, which is never a sure thing. Enter Olive, a local prodigy and force-of-nature, who immediately claims Alex, like a long lost sister. Followed by Juneau, a bedraggled wolf pup who washes up on the island after a powerful storm, like a message in a bottle. And then comes Jackson and Noah, who can’t seem to stop themselves from jumping in and helping, even when no one asked for their help or wanted it.But really, everything was good, at least until strange things began happening that defied understanding. Then just when she thought things couldn’t get any stranger, an important figure from her past shows up unexpectedly. And in an instant, everything changes. Like I said, life is complicated.
