Following Jesus at Home at Work in all of Life

FOLLOWING JESUS AT HOME AT WORK IN ALL OF LIFE is a 26 week guidebook to help you learn and experience how to have a close walk with Jesus in all of life, with a special focus of following Jesus at work. Work is used in the broad sense of those activities that are the primary focus of our weekdays including: paid employment, volunteer work, vocational work, and homemaker work……. I came to know our Lord Jesus Christ in midlife and spent two years away from my career in the oil industry seeking to find a different path of life that I thought the Lord was leading me to. At the end of these two years, however, it became clear I was to return to my previous type of work, but now in His service. As I started this new, and renewed, phase of life, the question came to my mind, Okay, I am now a Christian. How am I supposed to behave? In this I sought the Lord, and over a three-month period the writing for ‘Knowing Him’ (see the opening page of Part 1) came to me, which became an outline guide for my daily living. Over the next five years, I was led by the Lord to develop this single writing into a guidebook that I could use with other Christians to learn how to live for the Lord in all of life, including the workplace. It was through meeting with several different groups over the next twenty years that ‘Following Jesus at Home at Work in all of Life’ emerged in its final form …… The emphasis is on following Jesus at work; however, this is only possible if it is integrated with following Jesus at home and in all of life. The focus of this guide is God’s Word, and through the meditation on twenty-six topics by daily reading of short passages of the Bible God will lead you, speak to your heart, and reveal His presence to you in practical ways.
