Reflections in a Sailor’s Eyes follows our exploration of life through sixteen short stories. We met in a German pub, raced each other to Paris, fell in love in America, married in England, honeymoon on an overland journey from England to South Africa in a derelict VW van, and from there to Australia. Where we found a feeling of She’ll be right’ that encouraged us to not only start a family, but to also construct an ocean gong yacht. With sons just two and three, we then began a journey into the unknown. Frightened and unsure, our sea-roving life took us in ever increasing circles around the world touching eighty countries in an odyssey lasting the rest of our lives.
