Nolene Prince is the composer of Holy is the Lord of Hosts as well as the co-author of Nine Days in Heaven. She earned a bachelor’s degree in music, specialising in singing, and after teaching school music also attended Bible College. She lives in Melbourne, Australia with her husband, Dennis Price. Together they have three married children and twelve grandchildren.
This book is a one stop carol shop for the basic Christmas songs everyone usually wants to sing together. The standard page size makes the music easy to read for the accompanist, while the printable lyrics for carolers keeps things simple for those not needing the notes. There are also guitar chords on the full music pages. I especially love the little synopses of each song, telling a bit about the author and musician responsible for the various tunes. I grew up with small carol books we’d use year after year, and I think this book has that kind of lasting usefulness for global English speakers/singers. - MaryBeth Lynn
