Tony Gable had to leave the Gulf Coast for LA on his motorcycle after the attack south of New Orleans as set forth in You Just Never Know. Using his Karate skills, he soon becomes a movie star in several of the new action movies being made there. After several years, he receives a call asking him to come visit the man who had saved his life there, Sheriff Mark Patterson. He returned to Mississippi where Sheriff Patterson passes away only a few hours after asking Tony to protect his wife, Karen, their daughter, Jean, and their grand-son and autistic grand-daughter. Karen believed that the autism was caused by the shots that had been given to their grand-daughter when she was two years old.Becoming aware of things he felt should be checked into further, Tony thought that he needed some help so he went to see his family members who lived in the New York City area. While meeting with them, he found out that one of his relatives had worked for the CIA for many years, mostly on computers, and had only recently retired. Tony asked him to look into things about autism and the companies that Karen felt were responsible for her grand-daughter’s autism. As Tony investigates why the Sheriff may have been concerned about his family, he has flashbacks about things that his father had told him about when he had been much younger, such as shootouts in the bayou and attempts during the roaring 20’s by federal liquor agents to stop shipments of booze from coming into the area from Cuba. Eventually, Tony uncovers several matters that require him to consider doing whatever it takes to deal with them.
