With these words, VerGann's entire life changes.

His orders are simple. Guard the magical Stone of GraVinn, befriend the human girl who unknowingly possesses it, and allow nothing to distract from his charge. For a delpin, one of the most powerful beings in the EliSann Forest, this should be easy.

But life in the human world is anything but easy. After a chance encounter with Draven's Prince Breyden puts VerGann's best friend in between a power-hungry king and the arranged marriage he wants for his nephew, VerGann is left scrambling to shield her from the King's wrath. Not to mention, tensions rise back home in EliSann, too - loyalties questioned, conspiring nardins, a nymph with a problematic past... VerGann's focus on the Stone of GraVinn is compromised.
