Fred Easter uses this book to be his candle, telling with great detail and emotion what he has witnessed in his sixty plus years as an African American in this country. If you think you know about the plight of our fellow Americans, you will want to read NOT PERFECTLY DIVIDED and see just how right, or wrong!, you actually are! NOT PERFECTLY DIVIDED opened my eyes to the predicament faced by so many of my fellow Americans in a way nothing else ever has. Born and raised in rural upstate New York, I knew little of what was happening to the families in the inner cities, and had an askew view of what I did know! I would suggest that everyone read this book, if for no other reason than to experience the enlightenment its pages contain.
