Rummaging through years of self-help, psychology, religious teachings, and poetry books, I discovered a common thread. Finding value in myself started with finding out who I really was. It turns out I am many selves expressing my ever-changing belief system at various points in linear time. For years, I acted and thought in distinct ways to fit in or try to control and dominate situations and people in order to achieve some sort of value-fulfillment. The self writing this book is a different self who expresses beliefs, social stigmas, physical life, as well as non-physical life, in an unorthodox way.

You’ll notice every word has a capital crown in my work. I do that to show every word in my poetry is an expression of the poetry it helped create. Each word deserves the respect and the dignity it earned being a whole part of the whole thought.

This book of poetry comes from my non-physical energy personality. My poetic rock stars Rumi, Dickinson, Rilke, and Takahashi put me in poetry’s path in 1997 when my mother passed, so you might see glimpses of their influence as you dig into this book.
