Do You Know What Time It Is?

Every breath in your lungs is a gift. Each moment is valuable. You have an allotted time to obey God, a window of opportunity to do what He has asked you to do. But it’s easy to become so preoccupied with busyness that you miss out on the true business of this life: obeying God. In her book, Do You Know What Time It Is? Denise Renner encourages and admonishes you to get in step with God’s purpose for your life so you won’t stand ashamed before Jesus on that day when you give account for your time on this earth. So be honest with yourself. Has God been asking you to do something that you just keep putting off? Maybe He’s been talking to you about your health or a relationship. Perhaps He has dealt with you about laying aside an offense or a certain habit. Or He may have asked you to do your part in revealing His love in a difficult situation. The list could be endless, but the point is this: It’s time to do what God has told you to do before the opportunity to obey Him is lost.
