Earth Breath: Selected Blogs, 2009-2016

Earth Breath: Selected Blogs, 2009-2016, is a collection of 60 blogs chosen from a dozen years of blogging on my blogsite, distasiblog.blogspot.com. Unlike many others, my blogs range through a wide variety of subjects, usually responding to contemporary events or books I’ve read, or the impulse of the moment. Many are political, but many are not. Their overall tenor tends to be critical of current trends and attitudes that I find silly or hypocritical, retrograde or harmful. They also tend to be more carefully crafted than most blogs and more in the nature of little essays–which may be why many of those who read them have urged me to publish them in print. I hope they will, in the aggegate, give an accurate feel of the times in which they are written.
