Careful by the Railing

Lou wanders from town to town in Northern California. He has left the Emerald Triangle and wants to live a life in the straight world. He is searching for love, and for a place to call home. His old life as a marijuana farmer keeps pulling him back to the farms of Northern California. His wife has died while tending a crop, and now his 14-year-old daughter has arrived back in his life. Plagued by dreams in which he is terrified of his father’s rage, Lou never gets a full night’s sleep. His new girl friend feels his anxiety and wonders if he can settle down. Then his old boss finds him and asks him to work in the marijuana fields again. Will Lou resist the old life, and find love and security in the town where he currently lives? This is his story.
