Little kids go through a period when their every utterance is either Why? or No! I got over No fairly quickly but never Why? I like the quirky because human behavior fascinates me. A passing mention of something that strikes me as odd or funny or educational puts me on the prowl to find out more. For instance, how did that gun turn up in an old suitcase underneath our house? Who put it there and why? The purpose of Word of Mouth, the near-daily blog I write has always been to amuse, educate and to make the reader curious enough to seek out their own truth even if it’s no more than copying a recipe to try it or visiting a local or distant place they’ve never seen. This book is a compendium of incidents that intrigued me and the answers I found. Enjoy!
