Love and Best Witches is written through the eyes of the author’s nine year old niece, Louise, and was inspired by her letters. Louise’s auntie is unwell. She has an illness called M.E., but is no longer severely affected. The story reflects times the author, who has M.E. herself, has spent with her niece; teaching her witchcraft, in a light-hearted and amusing manner…Auntie overdid it if she spent too long in the kitchen baking Harry Potter chocolate frog cookies, or doing spells involving: lots of chanting, collecting of herbs, picking up of heavy goblets, picking up of heavy goblins or wand waving. The author hopes her book will delight anyone who has M.E., especially fans of Harry Potter. The book was written with people who have M.E. in mind, and are often unable to read or concentrate for long. There are illustrations or verses on most pages, to break up the text. The short chapters will make the book easier to put down, so the reader isn’t tempted to tire him or herself.
