Anyone who has ever had a true companion dog understands the special bond between an animal and the humans he has enriched. Here is the true story of a very special canine and the lives he touched that would never again be the same. Born on a ranch in western Colorado, Ranger lives his life befriending mules, cats, chickens and turkeys. When his master becomes terminally ill, Ranger is right at his side up till the very end. But that is not the end of the story. He still has his mistress to protect, and then two special people come into his life to help him reign over his golden years.
