Wheat Among Bones: Poems

Mary Baron’s title Wheat Among Bones recalls that a sprig of wheat growing between crossed bones was a Renaissance emblem for hope. She has written a passionate and formal book which is a ‘woman’s song,’ a beautiful twentieth-century song that hopefully will help us survive our new noise and new silence.
