San Francisco, May 1942. Four months after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The city prepares for a possible attack by Japanese forces in retaliation for the Doolittle raid on Tokyo in April. The German American president of the local America First Committee is shot, execution style, in his Ferry Building Office. Is a radical Zionist group responsible for the murder? Former police commissioner Tony Bosco and detectives Dennis Sullivan and Ruthie Fuller work behind the scenes with Jacob Weiss, the local FBI office’s expert on fascist and communist subversion, to identify and apprehend the killer.
