Dictionary of Marine Artists

More than 50 years ago Dorothy and Marion Brewington began their search to identify the world’s marine artists. In convenient dictionary form, the results of this monumental task have been published jointly by the Peabody Museum of Salem, Massachusetts, and Mystic Seaport Museum. Alphabetical entries offer information on the careers of 3,074 American, European, Chinese, and Japanese artists.
