St. Margaret Clitherow

Thus spoke John Clitherow, the Protestant husband of St Margaret (c. 1553 - 1586), one of the forty canonised martyrs of England and Wales. This book tells the story of Margaret’s life: her marriage, her motherhood, her personality, her assistance to her husband in his business, her devotion to the Eucharist and her staunch adherence to the Catholic faith. It contains great historical background on the Reformation and how Catholicism was lost in England under the reign of Elizabeth I.
