This book is broken down into two main sections. The first is the history of the counties while the second section covers the biographicak sketches of these early residents. This volume contains Biographical Sketches of some 266 individuals in these counties and biographical data on some 1,100 other families / individuals. Considering the fact that this book was written in the late 1880’s, many of these sketches will take a family or person back into the mid-late 1700’s The Index mentions approximately 5,000 persons.
