Women of Minnesota: Selected Biographical Essays

Women of Minnesota was first published in 1977, when few serious historical monographs were devoted solely to women. In their revised version of this landmark study, the editors have added an essay on women’s accomplishments over the last two decades, highlighting such achievements as the number of women who have risen to prominence as judges, business leaders, and sports figures, and discussing the questions that confront women at the end of the twentieth century. An updated list of women who have served in the Minnesota legislature and more than one hundred new brief biographies enhance this edition.
