Yamaha XJ6 & FZ6R (‘09 - '15)

Matthew Coombs

The Diversion name is not new, having been applied to the XJ600 and XJ900 models of the 1990s. This motorcycle carrying this Diversion name, or XJ6, is different though; it’s an all new bike using a liquid-cooled engine derived from the FZ6 and an earlier generation R6.

The XJ6 is sold throughout the world, but is known as the FZ6R in the US. Differences between the XJ6 models are few; the N and SP models are unfaired, the S has a sports fairing and the F a full fairing.
